Sous Chef

  • An excellent culinary background with a minimum of 4 years’ post apprenticeship experience

Encore Group is seeking to appoint an experienced Sous Chef who can consistently deliver an exceptional dining experience in our multi-venue business.  

Working with the Executive Chef and Executive Sous Chef, the Sous Chef will be responsible for providing catering through our diverse venues; AAMI Stadium, the Westpac Centre, Adelaide Arena and a multitude of external events.   

This position offers the opportunity for a leading Sous Chef to take responsibility for the daily operational requirements of one of our many kitchens within the functions, corporate facilities, café, bistro and external businesses.  The ability to manage in a diverse environment with a focus on client and customer service is essential.

This senior role requires a chef who can demonstrate:

  • Experience in managing a kitchen facility
  • A diverse background in banqueting, corporate hospitality or restaurants
  • A genuine passion for innovative and quality food
  • Strong leadership and organisational skills
  • Sound planning and logistics management

Purchasing Admin Officer

  • 24 hours per week
  • Casual position commencing March 2012
  • Based at West Lakes

This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced administration and data entry officer to assist a small team within a leading catering and event management group.

Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, the Purchasing Administration Officer will be responsible for the data entry of purchases, stock transfers and stocktakes.

This position offers variety and challenges and will require you to be extremely well organised, with a good and accurate data entry speed.  Your analytical capabilities, communication skills, team-work focus, attention to detail and great work ethic are also required.

This is a seasonal role working 24 hours per week (Monday and Tuesday all day, Thursday ½ day, plus one other ½ day – flexibility provided), through to October.  With opportunity to continue working reduced hours outside of the AFL season.

Kitchen Stewards

  • 3-4 regular shifts Monday – Friday, plus game day
  • Mid-week hours generally between 10am and 6pm
  • Minimal split shifts (some occasional evening work may be necessary)
  • Training provided

The Encore Group is currently recruiting for Kitchen Stewards to join its professional kitchen operations at AAMI Stadium.

These positions are casual ongoing roles within a dynamic sports, entertainment and events industry.

The Kitchen Steward has varied duties with the main responsibilities being the cleaning and maintaining of our kitchen areas and equipment.

Previous experience in a similar role is not essential, however, you will need to be ready to work energetically and thoroughly, able to work under pressure and as a team member.  You will learn about kitchen operations and procedures, have excellent working hours and be paid well.
